Ok..this is making me crazy.
The govt. has decided to ban ALL children’s books published before 1985 on the off chance there might possibly be lead in the illustrations. And, in addition, the new law covers things like collectible Barbie dolls. My brain is going to explode! I feel like I am living in a bad movie. Hopefully, we will wake up soon.
In all seriousness, overzealousness will be the deaths of us yet. Orwellian times are upon us and, if we don’t so something to stop it now, it will be too late (if it’s not already).
Read The New Book Banning by Walter Olson, City Journal 12 February 2009 and, for further education, read Overlawyerd.com for some insight into what the heck is going on. It’s up to “We, The People” to stop some of this nonsense.

And, for those of us who live and work in New York State, time to let our “esteemed” Gov. know where exactly he can stick his budget. When he shows us he is serious about conserving money by taking back those unnecessary raises and exacting paycuts of 20% for himself and all his ASSembly and Senate workers, them maybe we will listen.

I know..been a long time since I posted. Life gets in the way. But I am hooked on True Blood and had to write about it.
For those of you who have been living under a rock, True Blood is a new HBO series based on the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampite series by Charlaine Harris. Go here if you want to know more about what they are about.
I am LOVING this series!! It’s funny, scary and, of course, sexy (how can it not be with the requisite dark, brooding, and HOT vampires running around). Check it out. Well, folks, I can still remember the very first time I heard that phrase..Wasn’t it only yesterday?? Or was it really 1975?? And you know what?? It still affects me the same way, after all this time..
And so it begins again..Bruce on tour again..And the memories flood in..The Roxy, Wintergarden, The Fast Lane, getting stuck in my damned ugly orange Chevette on the GSP one Saturday night at 3:30 am trying to find the screwdriver to prop open the carb so I could pour in some gas to start her up, the Palladium, The Agora, Cleveland, etc, etc, etc…God, it was fun!!!!
